Nursing Program

The ADN training program in Brookdale Community College prepares the pupil for entry-level nursing roles in hospitals or equivalent facilities. Clinical learning experiences are needed for all courses.

Upon completion of the training program, pupils meet the requirements to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nursing. Upon Satisfactory completion of this examination leads to a licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).

This program is certified by the New Jersey Board of Nursing (NJBON) and also by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) initially National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

Brookdale Community College is a certified coeducational public community college in Lincroft, Monmouth Region, New Jersey, United States. Brookdale Community College was established in 1967 and has sites in Neptune, Freehold, Hazlet, Long Branch, and Wall. Its official color is Navy Blue, Scarlet, and White.

It serves the people of Monmouth County and encircling communities. One in every 3 Monmouth County high school graduates goes to Brookdale. The School offers associate degrees in over sixty programs, additionally non-credit classes and certificate programs.

Total estimated program cost is USD $12,130

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

  1. Graduation from high school or a GED.
  2. Completion of the Brookdale application
  3. Completion of the Nursing program application
  4. Completion of all basics skills courses as determined by the college basic skills placement test
  5. Completion of high school biology and chemistry or the equivalent college courses.
  6. Achievement of passing scores on the health science entrance examination.
  7. Attendance at an information session.
  8. Completion of a nurse’s Aide course
  9. Take the Basic Skills Placement Test. if a student has completed AT LEAST 24 college level credits including English composition and a mathematics course higher than elementary Algebra with a grade of “C” or better from an accredited college, this test may be waived.

Two (2) copies of high school/college transcripts are required. An official copy is to be sent directly to the admissions office. The other copy should be brought with the student for the meeting with the counselor (student development specialist). All communication with the admissions office should be addressed to:
