Following are the minimum requirements for BSN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

Admission to our traditional nursing program is competitive. Acceptance by the College does not guarantee acceptance to the program. There is a separate application process for nursing, which must be submitted during the applicant’s sophomore year.

The program accepts qualified students in one of two groups:

• Students enrolled at Brockport
• Transfer students from other colleges and universities (must have at least 15 credits at Brockport and a transfer GPA of at least 3.0)
• be accepted by The College at Brockport
• must have nursing intent status
• submit a separate application for admission to the nursing department
• Will have satisfactorily completed all pre-requisites with a minimum grade of C by May of the year you are applying.
• Will have earned a minimum of 54, non-nursing (which is considered junior status) liberal arts credits, by the start of the nursing program.
• must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in order to apply to the nursing program
• are required to meet with a nursing faculty for advisement
• If a nursing prerequisite course is taken more than once, the highest grade will be factored into the GPA evaluated for admission into the nursing program.
