• Once admitted to Boise State, sign up to attend BroncoVenture Orientation where you will be assigned a Pre-Nursing Academic Advisor.

BS-Nursing: Information for Transfer Students

At Boise State, we value transfer students for the experiences they bring to the School of Nursing. If you plan to, or have already completed pre-nursing courses at another university, please follow the steps below in preparation for applying to the BS-Nursing program and for transfer to Boise State.

• Go to the Transfer Equivalency System (TES) web site. This site allows you to to determine if the courses you will transfer to Boise State will meet the BS-Nursing prerequisites.
• Once you have completed the checklist, please schedule an appointment with the Pre-Nursing Academic Advisor.
• Upon verification that you meet or will meet the BS-Nursing prerequisites, apply for admission to Boise State University as a Transfer Student.
• Prior to applying to the BS-Nursing program, the following courses, or their equivalent, must be transferred in or completed at Boise State with a grade of C (2.000) or better in each course AND a minimum combined GPA of 3.00. The combined GPA from these courses will be a primary factor used when evaluating your application.

BS-Nursing: Information for 2nd Degree Students

• Schedule an appointment with the Boise State Pre-Nursing Academic Advisor to review prerequisites for applying to the nursing program and to complete a Second Baccalaureate Transfer Credit Request Form.*
• If you are missing any of the prerequisites listed below, or do not meet the required GPA requirements, you can enroll in courses at Boise State or transfer them in. To find transfer courses equivalent to Boise State’s required pre-nursing courses, visit the Transfer Equivalency System web site.
• Apply to Boise State University as a Second Bachelor’s Degree Student before applying to the BS-Nursing program.
