Nursing Program
This two (2) year AAS degree in nursing training program at Blue Mountain Community College will prepare the pupil for eligibility for the national licensing exam and licensure as a registered nurse (RN). Registered nurses (RNs) use their knowledge, skills, and also problem-solving competencies to assist people, families, and groups with health requirements.
Blue Mountain Community College is an associate of the Oregon Consortium for Nursing Education (OCNE) and also offers a competency-based curriculum jointly created by nursing faculties from the OCNE associate community colleges and also Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).
Pupils who complete the AAS degree at Blue Mountain Community College have the choice to complete the upper division nursing courses for the bachelor’s degree from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) via one out of the following pathways: at the Portland OHSU Campus: Veteran Affairs Nursing Academic Partnership; general track; Interprofessional Care Access Network; or virtually (web-based).

Blue Mountain Community College (BMCC) is a community college situated in Pendleton, Oregon, United States Of America, and serves Umatilla, Morrow, and also Baker regions.

Following are the minimum requirements for ADN-RN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:
- Payment of $50 non-refundable admission application fee
- BI 231, Anatomy and Physiology I, and MTH 95, Intermediate Algebra, must be completed by the end of fall term.
- Applicants must complete a minimum of 30 prerequisite credits by the end of fall term, 2016 in order to be eligible to apply for admission to our 2017-2019 program.
- All prerequisite/preparatory courses must have been taken with a letter grade and completed with a “C” or better.
- Application to the nursing program requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 for all completed prerequisite/preparatory courses.
- If an applicant has taken an equivalent course elsewhere which has a course number, title, or credit hour different from the BMCC course, the applicant must contact BMCC’s Registrar’s office for a transcript evaluation as far in advance of the application deadline as possible.
- To be admitted into nursing courses, students must complete all required prerequisite and preparatory courses and be accepted into the nursing program.
- OTHER COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS: Official transcripts from all prior colleges attended during or after fall 2012 must be sent to Blue Mountain Community College in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution.
