Nursing program
The Registered Nursing Associate in Science Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and endorsed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
The curriculum is intended to be completed in two academic years. However, many students with job responsibilities and family elect to complete a majority of general education credits before entering the nursing course sequence.
Admission and information booklets are readily accessible to students through the Career Center or Admission Department on both campuses. It is recommended that prospective students should attend a nursing information session conducted by the advising /counseling staff.
There are two options for completing the associate in science degree in nursing:
Two-Year RN Sequence: four-semester, a consecutive nursing curriculum with training happening on campus and in clinical facilities.
LPN-RN Sequence: three semesters (Summer, Fall & Spring) for essential nursing courses with extra time being necessary to complete the general education requirements; sequential nursing curriculum intended for the current practical nurse graduate or practicing LPN with training occurring on campus and in clinical facilities. Day or evening timetabling options are available.
