Nursing program
- The training program readies graduates to assume entry-level roles in nursing practice and also provides a foundation for advanced study in nursing. Graduates meet the requirements to apply to take the NCLEX for licensure as registered nurses, as established in the Texas Occupations Code and Statutes Regulating the Practice of Professional Nursing.
- The School of Nursing does not guarantee that each individual admitted to the nursing training program will pass all elements of the training program or that those graduating from the training program with the BS in Nursing degree will pass nursing board examinations and secure employment as a nurse. Attaining these objectives depends upon the extent to which students carefully apply themselves to their studies and also to the economic forces influencing the health care industry.
- The baccalaureate degree in nursing from East Texas Baptist University is certified by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and also endorsed by the Texas Board of Nursing.
