Immaculata University BSN Nursing Reviews

Nursing program

  • Immaculata’s BSN training program prepares students academically, socially, and also spiritually to practice within today’s complex health care systems. Developing in the liberal arts and sciences, the training program grooms students to care for patients at all phases of life, from birth and also childhood via adulthood and also into the later stages of life.
  • They offer more than a traditional nursing training program. As a Catholic school, they combine strong values into their training program, providing an atmosphere that reinforces a sense of justice, ethics, and peace. You will leave the training program with a powerful sense of professional responsibility and accountability and openness to life-long learning. You will become a part of a learning community that will help you in becoming a leader in health care.
  • In the context of the BSN training program, you will apply theory and also practice your skills/competencies through working in a nursing simulation lab as well as taking part in clinical experiences. The simulation lab copies clinical events in a natural setting, enabling you to problem solve and also “think on your feet” in critical situations. To be able to complete your clinical experiences, you need to undergo drug screening, a criminal history check, and also a child abuse clearance, along with any other criteria specified by the clinical agency. A nursing faculty member or perhaps a clinical preceptor will provide direct, on-site guidance for all clinical experiences.
  • In fall 2011, the BS in Nursing degree was awarded 10-year re-accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The training program is authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education along with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
