Following are the minimum requirements for BSN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

Incoming Freshmen

  • Completed application to Widener University specifying a major in nursing
  • Evidence Based Reading/Writing and Math SAT score of 980 or higher
  • High school GPA of 2.85 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher
  • TOEFL*: IBT scores of 79 (total score)/26 (spoken) or paper-based exam scores of 550/55 (spoken)

Widener Students Transferring from Another Major

  • 75 or higher cumulative GPA at Widener
  • Grade of “C” or higher in CHEM 105/106
  • Grade of “C” or higher in all courses required for the nursing curriculum
  • TOEFL*: IBT scores of 79 (total score)/26 (spoken) or paper-based exam scores of 550/55 (spoken)
