To apply to the professional program, an application must be submitted online by APRIL 20th (for fall admission) or by SEPTEMBER 20th (for spring admission) with additional application materials submitted to the School of Nursing, located at the Stop-N-Go Center (1919 University Drive N). Enrollment in the nursing major is limited and competitive.

Eligibility for application requires:

1. A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 in college course work. Actual GPAs of admitted students are generally higher.
2. Completion of the prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or higher
3. Eligibility for sophomore standing (completion of 27 or more credits)
4. Submission of the completed application.

Students applying to the professional nursing program must:

• be admitted to North Dakota State University (for the term of program start)
• have official transcripts for all colleges attended on file with Registration and Records
• be a pre-nursing major
• complete the application to the professional program (separate from the NDSU application)
• complete an interview upon request
• complete application fee & background check
• provide any additional items as requested

These documents must be on file in the School of Nursing by APRIL 20th (for fall admission) or by SEPTEMBER 20th (for spring admission). The application will be available in mid-March and is submitted online to the School of Nursing.
