Nursing program
- The Traditional BSN pre-licensure training program readies graduates as nurse generalists who are prepared to take the National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Passing this examination leads to licensure as a Registered Nurse as well as begins the graduate’s journey in the rewarding discipline of professional nursing.
- The first class of pre-licensure students started the program at Methodist in the fall of 2012 with first authorization from the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON). 2-years later, in May of 2014, their first 17 graduates earned their BSN degrees. That same year, the NCBON awarded them full board approval along with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) certifying their BSN training program for five years.
