Nursing program

• The Michigan State University College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) training program that provides an extensive professional preparation- incorporating biological, physical and also behavioral sciences as well as the humanities.
• Traditional BSN- For first-degree undergraduate pupils: This regular, 6-semester, upper-division option is meant for students who have completed at least 28 credits and also required prerequisite courses.

Following are the minimum requirements for BSN Nursing Program. Minimum admission standards include:

1. Submission of a University application (does not apply to students currently enrolled at MSU).
2. Completion of Pre-Nursing courses outlined below and progress towards completing University required coursework.
3. Cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
4. A grade of 2.0 or higher in each admission prerequisite.
5. Submission of a College application, two completed reference forms, essay, curriculum vitae or resume and evidence of relevant community service and/or work experience.

• ANTR 350: Anatomy

• WRA 101: University Tier I Writing

Admission Criteria ABSN:

• Submission of a University application (does not apply to students currently enrolled at MSU).
• Completion of a bachelor degree from an accredited and recognized college or university with a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or higher.
• The Anatomy and Physiology prerequisite courses must be completed at the time of application (or in progress in fall semester).
• A grade of 2.0 or higher in each science prerequisite.
• Submission of a College of Nursing supplemental application, two references, essay and resume.
• Completion of all prerequisite courses outlined below (before program start in Mid-May).

^Anatomy and Physiology must be completed at the time of application.

*Candidates must have completed course within five years of program start.
