Nursing Program

The Nurse Science Division in Oklahoma State University offers a training program of study leading to an associate in applied science degree (AAS). The Training program is completely certified by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), initially National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), and endorsed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Graduates meet the requirements to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse licensure (NCLEX-RN).

The course of study is a 72-credit hour training program that includes classroom and laboratory instruction on campus, along with guided clinical experience at affiliating health organizations. Mainly because there are more pupils applying for nursing courses than it is possible to sign up, a Nurse Science Admissions Committee selects pupils for the training program. Two classes are admitted to the nursing training program each and every academic year.
