Nursing Program

The ASN training program in Western Kentucky University prepares the graduate as a generalist to give nursing care in many different health-care functions and provides the knowledge base for career flexibility. ASN Training program graduates are qualified to write the NCLEX examination to become a registered nurse (RN).

The ASN Training program is a limited enrollment training program based on the availability of faculty and clinical resources. Admission is selective as well as competitive. There are no restrictions regarding age,  race, religious persuasion, marital status, sex, or qualified person with impairment. Admission to the school does not assure admission to the ASN Training program. A distinct application must be submitted to the ASN Training program.
