Ventura College is a California-state funded community college situated in Ventura, California, United States. Founded in 1925, the institution has an 112-acre campus with an enrollment of 13,763 students.

Ventura College was founded as the very first college in Ventura County in 1925 when a junior college division was included at Ventura Union High School. In the year 1929, the Ventura High School District implemented the four-four (4X4) plan of secondary education, providing four (4) years of junior high school (grades 7-10) and four (4) years of high school/Junior College (grades 11-14).

NURSING

Ventura College offers a two (2) year associate degree in nursing (ADN) via the School of Nursing and Allied Health.

The nursing program is endorsed by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and obtained national accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. Upon successful completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, students will be qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). The student must have satisfied all demands as outlined by the California State Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). Students who decide not to finalize the degree requirements are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination after completion of content needed for licensure. Please be well-advised that not all states accept registered nurses who choose this method.

Total program cost is USD $8,200
